Celebrated our wedding anniversary here and couldn’t have made a better choice. Friendly engaging staff, great food and tequila. We started with the amazing Blooming Onion. Crisp batter, not a hint of excess cooking fat. The wife went for the Blackened Salmon bowl. It was well presented, came in a generous portion and was very very tasty. I had Chilli Beef Chimichanga which was soft and crispy in equal measure with great guacamole and a generous portion of chips. All washed down with chilli tequila. Tia’s is THE place to eat in Durham

I’ve spent years searching for good Mexican food in the UK, and this is the best I’ve found by far. We ordered a chimichanga and an enchilada, paired with strawberry margaritas. Mine was non-alcoholic and still hit the spot.

Great place to eat, would 10/10 recommend. Great atmosphere staff and even better food, if you like Mexican this is the place to go. I’d highly recommend the rose onion.

Visited Tia’s for the first time and would definitely return. We didn’t book a table as we decided to go on a weekday night and got a table just fine. The host was very friendly and attentive. We ordered from the happy hour menu and were pleasantly surprised at the portion sizes, the food tasted great (best guacamole I have ever had!) and the atmosphere was nice.

This place is excellent. Very friendly and has a happy hour menu which is really good value. I went twice on a trip for work and so did a colleague.

You could easily walk past Tia’s without realising it was there but I recommend seeking it out. Lovely staff, great food and amazing frozen Margheritas!

A must place to eat in Durham. Food is amazing and you get generous portions. We left feeling very full after the enchiladas. Staff were great and they were fast serving our food considering there was a large group in at the same time. If I’m ever back in Durham I would come back because it’s great food at great value.

Just perfect! A lovely little restaurant with great food, the fajitas were amazing! Great selection of drinks and just a perfect location. Thanks to all the staff and chefs for a lovely meal!

We hooked rather short notice for a party of 10, but they squeezed us in & I am so glad they did. The food is amazing! The staff are so friendly and dead chatty. We got 4 starters to share amongst us & all plates cleared & enjoyed by all, especially the Tia Rose. We all got different mains & every single one had no complaints. Absolutely beautiful, ever so tasty & flavoursome. Will definitely be back

Tia’s has to be one of the best restaurants in Durham, if not the best. Their menu is brilliant!! I am a vegan and love how much choice they have for vegans/vegetarians. It’s lovely to be able to eat in a place that caters so well for all dietary requirements! The veg skewers and fab, love the veg burrito and chips, salads and Mexican rice are all fab!! Ooh and the guacamole is awesome.
