Make lunchtime a little more colourful at Tia’s Mexican Cantina, on the ground floor of The Gate in Newcastle. Join us for Mexican favourites, from loaded quesadillas and burritos to rich Mole Poblano.

Elotes — Mexican Street Corn
Charred sweetcorn on the cob, slathered in a zesty, garlic-infused Mexican sour cream sauce.
Crispy Jalapeño Poppers
Five jalapeños stuffed with cream cheese, coated in breadcrumbs and fried until crisp and hot.
Street-Style Cauli Crunch
Fresh cauliflower florets dusted in our signature Mexican spice blend and fried to a golden crisp.
Crispy Skins ’N’ Dips
Hot, crunchy, deep-fried potato skins served with one of our homemade dipping sauces:

Lunch Mains — £12
Mole Poblano
A rich, velvety sauce slow-simmered with dark chocolate, toasted chillies and warm spices. Served with fragrant Mexican rice, crispy house tortilla chips and a fresh, zesty salad.
Choose slow-braised pulled beef, shredded chicken or roasted vegetables.
Picadillo Party Bowl
Savoury ground beef with tender vegetables, simmered in a rich, smoky tomato sauce. Served with Mexican rice and crunchy tortilla chips.
Chilli Con Carne
Slow-cooked chilli packed with bold, smoky spices. Served with zesty rice, crunchy corn chips and sour cream.
Burritos
A toasted tortilla filled with seasoned rice and your choice of shredded chicken, Mexican shredded beef or chargrilled vegetables. Served with refried beans or hand-cut chips.
Loaded Quesadillas
Chargrilled quesadillas with mozzarella, cheddar and spring onions, served with fresh salsa, sour cream, hand-cut fries and salad.
Choose pulled chicken, Tia’s slow-cooked spicy shredded beef or simply classic mozzarella.
Tia’s Burger
Your choice of a beef, chicken or veggie patty with crisp salad, fresh tomato, onion and our own burger sauce. Served with signature hand-cut fries.
Optional burger additions — £1.50 each: tortilla chips, cheese, guacamole, sour cream, salsa, chilli, BBQ sauce, garlic sauce or onion petals.
