Tia’s began in Durham in 1996. Our intimate cantina on Claypath became the starting point for a story built around Mexican food, colourful drinks and a welcoming atmosphere.
We want a visit to feel easy: settle in, choose something you love and enjoy the people you’re with. Whether it’s your first visit or your familiar favourite, make yourself at home.
Our first chapter: Durham
A small cantina with plenty of character. Our original Durham restaurant brings a cosy, colourful setting to Claypath.
A new chapter: Newcastle
Thirty years on, our story expands to The Gate. A larger restaurant and bar brings Tia’s to Newcastle with more space for food, cocktails and lively evenings.
